"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
- The New Colossus, Emma Lazarus
This is what the Statue of Liberty is supposed to mean. But what does she mean now? How have we strayed so far?

Also a bucket list item for myself, was about to be a gifting option on my wedding registry.
I look forward to attending a CPX event in the future regardless.

Ugh. Same here, minus the gettin' married part.
I guess I just need to knuckle down and start visiting the country's great fields. I've never been to Hell Survivors or SC Village either.
Come to think of it, I don't think I've been to any of the "big" fields out there, unless Bear Claw counted.
...and I haven't actually played there either!
God, what have I been doing with my life?

I'm saddened to hear that CPX is closing. A friend and I played one of the first living legends games and it was a ton of fun. Probably the most detailed and intricate fields I've ever played at in regards to background props and scenery.

I played two living legends, 8 and this past years X. They were so much fun. The woods at CPX were amazing and LL8 I spent all my time in the woods. This past spring I managed to hit a lot of the field I had never played before and it was a blast too. Really sad to hear as this was one of the best fields in the midwest although the paint was really high priced. Sad to see it go... I remember when LL1 was announced and I really wanted to go.

That sucks. I've been playing there since they opened (and at Challenge Park before that). I've probably played more often there than anywhere else just because it's so close. I didn't always agree with all of their policy choices but it was always a great place to play.
