New Twister Autococker?

I know I’m not an Autococker guy, but I didn’t see this posted anywhere else.

https://committedpaintball.com/colle...eption-markers

Feel free to delete if it is. Otherwise- they’re nice, but god damn look at that price tag.

Holy ****, the retro anno speaks to me on a spiritual level.

The non-one off colors are pretty in line with some of the normal releases from Simon. The limited Inception releases seem to be around what the splashes/fades are.

I do recall the pre-order for the F5 run was $1000, site unseen. At least this is fully rendered with known parts.

I dont doubt that theyre on par with other markers, but that thing better give me an HJ after a day in the field for over $1500 for a marker.
That said, Id be lying to you if I didnt consider putting it on a credit card and just paying it off slowly over a year and a half. Lol.

150 made seems steep. Is that the same number as the predators? Those things most certainly did not hold their value and they all came up for sale rather quickly. Id be more inclined to purchase knowing it was also a solid investment.

Not sure why you're negative on this. The F series were classic style autocockers (9/16 valve, old tech, remachined old bodies), they never made more. Just like they didn't make any more LV1s, or CS1s, or Axe bodies. This Inception collaboration is a modern cocker, with all the new bells and whistles Simon created. Not the same as the F series. Anyone who has shot anything from Inception and then shot anything pre 2k5 will tell you the same thing.

Predators are a tough example, but you could be right. I will say, anything twister related has appreciated, not depreciated, in value. I sold an F2 I had, which would've cost $4-600 depending on pre-order or retail release, for $2k. When the F series released, all the older Twister stuff appreciated as well.

Twisters definitely seem to be the exception in terms of holding value. Twister Cs1s are still at $1600-2k, even with that being 'old tech'. Hell, LV1s were commanding more than that for a bit.

if yall think the price on these are bad look at the sfl cockers that were posted yesterday. people have been waiting 2years since the preorder and still haven't received theirs. Shocktech then posted like 8 cockers ready to ship yesterday. They were in the same ball park as the inception cockers and offer little bells as whistles.

Had they done this with "real" cockers I might be inclined to like them better. Empires design has not been the best thing that ever happened to cocker remakes. Just the same, since it's Inception and Twister together I am sure a bunch of folks will jump on that jock to have one.

Meh.

Imo, inception has consistently failed to meet the mark in the aesthetics department. I like all of their standard cocker bodies but there isn't a single retro series body that appeals to me whatsoever.

Edit: I agree with punkncat. Inception makes a high quality product, and I like their pneumatics, but I'm not a fan of the extended reach and their triggers really bother me. I understand the following they have, but I know I could build something for half the price that would be comparable in performance and more my style, in both looks and feel.

Wow, this is the opposite of what I expected out of this thread. I feel better about not owning a paintball gun worth more than some folks cars. So thanks for that. But I thought it was aesthetically pleasing.
