Ran a hopper of paint through the emek yesterday, with the pal loader. Didn’t have any misfires in the whole hopper.

How are you checking it for movement? It needs a ball or something stuffed all the way down the barrel to generate enough back pressure to work. If you just remove the barrel and cover with your hand, or just block the end of the barrel you won't generate enough back pressure to move the plunger.

I watched while shooting paint. Empire custom blend (field grade), about .675-.676 or so. Tried with a myth g2 (output about 650), and ninja (~850). Plunger shakes from the recoil but never pops up.

I seen multiple reports that it works so fast you won't see it with the naked eye.

Seriously, and it can't work dry, needs paintballs.

This. You can't see it move at all. And it won't move at all unless there is a ball in the breech.

It moves so fast you can't see it with the naked eye, even when you remove the loader and just drop a ball in the breech. It only moves 1-2mm and is very fast. If you think that a paintball, which uses the same pressure as the plunger sees, takes only 4ms to travel the length of a 14" barrel, how long do you think it takes a 2grm plastic plunger to move 2mm?

Simple test:

Remove the loader and paint from the gun. Rest your finger very lightly on the top of the plunger and fire the gun. You wont feel anything.

Now drop a ball in the breech and rest your finger gently on the top of the plunger and fire the ball. You'll feel it kick your finger.

We aren't trying to launch something into space here with the plunger. If it kicked really hard what do you think it would do to the paint in the loader?!?
