California Bill 798
Hope you like orange or pink guns!.
This bill would require, except as specified, every BB device and
imitation firearm that appears to be a handgun that has a barrel less than
16 inches in length to have the entire exterior surface of the device
white, bright red, bright orange, bright yellow, bright green, bright blue,
bright pink, or bright purple, either singly or as the predominate color
in combination with other colors in any pattern, or be constructed of
transparent or translucent materials that permit unmistakable observation
of the device’s complete contents.
This bill would make the provision imposing a civil fine on the sale,
manufacture, transportation, receipt, or distribution of imitation
firearms for commercial purposes applicable to BB devices.
Many of us in Cali don't like the laws here,,, but like it or not.. Laws in Cali have a way of migrating to mainland Even if you don't live here.... You can still contact our senators and let them know how you feel.
Here's a means for Californians contacting their senators: California State Senate
Senators | Senate Internet
For those interested, here's a Facebook group opposed to bill: No On SB 798

This makes me want to coat all my real firearms in pink!

Interesting, while this seem like a stupid law, most of our paintball guns in no way shape or form look like a handgun? Only the pistols look like handgun and there are only 2 major plus a few minor pistol types.

Welcome to Canada... That's pretty much exactly what our law is on airsoft. Has to have a clear receiver, ect... I'm not sure how this would translate to paintball. I suppose maybe as a gateway? Might give the milsim crowd a little grief, but really we can only play "dress-up" with our markers. There is that whole pesky part about having loaders and air tanks and whatnot

Inch of Gold
See also: Reasons why I am glad I left CA and now live in the free(er) state of CO. Heard about this one via NRA newsletter..not surprised it's being promoted, but will be dismayed if it's passed. Pretty soon you Californians will have to rent storage lockers over the border to store your paintball gear just like your real steel
PS: Sale on pink Blazers?
