Blazer bolt pin.

I shot 2 cases through my 2k Blazer last weekend and the bolt pin sheared off clean right below the brass knob. Does this happen often? What could I have done to prevent it?

I did have it ripping. A few people thought I was shooting an eblade.

Thats usually where they break because of the threads I think. Thats why the 2k blazer have the longer pin and slot in the body to keep the bolt from flying away.

Check for clearance on the bolt.. A tight bore barrel will catch the bolt and put extra stress on the pin.

If the knob is loose,, the slop can also put stress on the pin.

Ive only seen them snap on a 2k a few times, and that's usually due to some other issue within the drive system.

He was really enjoying his first PPS gun up to this point... "I'm diggin this gun...It's like a freakin' chainsaw"... after playing alongside my Nasty Typhoon all day, then grudgingly switching to his default Angel.

This happened to me once many years ago at POG day. Bolt pin sheared clean off. Luckily Craig was there and he gave me a new bolt assembly.

It was my main Blazer and it had many many cases put through it in the years before it happened. I'd say it's not that common... but it does happen to the BEST of us.

If had the pin held up, the Default Angel would of never made it out the bag like Curt said. I like the way the gun shot, how compact it is and how freaking fast the double 45 frame is. I couldn't out shoot my rotor but had to have been close to 13bps if I had to guess.
