Blue it is, thanks JonM. Red did seem overkill, no one is ever gonna run this gun vertical bottle, think blue loctite on the Asa with a regulator on it should be fine. I’ll be sure to use alcohol to clean the threads before I put the blue loctite on it. I’ve been using a lot of alcohol to clean this thing, what a mess!

Glad it helped! Also glad I remembered all the steps.

I use blue loctite or sometimes just plumbers tape when I put those asa's back on. If I was PPS and liable for injuries from my product I'd use red too.

The hard part is behind you now. Taking out the valve and coupler is a snap over what you've been through.
