I had this issue as well. I moved on to all aluminum case and arm extensions. A tad bit heavier but worth it imo. Important plastic pieces of my housing broke off and had to get a new one. The next day i went to go play and went to tighten the knob and the loops snapped right off lol

I'm not sure they make an aluminum case to fit mine.
I have a Soocoo c30 and an Akaso EK7000, both of which use the original GoPro case design, before they went to the ones with aluminum latches.
