I enjoyed the GaussHunch, with an XL it had either 80 or 90 KPh with 2 or 3 tons of ammo and 3 SL. Havn't gotten it since XLs repair cost went up, but it should still be viable. I'm still waiting for the Jaegermech and optimisation. I had over 30 FPS when there were 200 people online, but as of late I've been struggling with 10, and normally over 2k online. Hopefully the 9th will bring me back up to at least 20. |

I'm currently running around in a Raven CX4 with an AC20, it racks up an easy 1 or 2 kills in that brief period when the scouts of both sides duke it out for a minute or so before the main lines hit. I've also been running it with 2 ER PPCs and stripped down armor as a sniper, it's a brutal counter to the Catapult K2 variants running around with standard PPCs. At long ranges they scrap your pain while you hammer them for full damage.

I did enjoy the PPC jenner, but the flight path is too slow to be of much use, not to mention the lack of DHS. The 16th will be a good day. 3 Jenners, DHS, ES...I hope that day doesn't get pushed back any more. I have to say I don't enjoy the ballistic Raven as much as I thought I would, but I'll need to get an XL to pass full judgement. I did laugh the first time I saw and AC20 on it...but I wasn't laughing for long. They are effective when they hit. But I've found most take off leg armor when they do that, or take a gauss. Makes short work of them. |

I've got it up to 90 some with a 200 standard. My tri core processor just isn't cutting it, so I've got to wait for optimisation before I start playing again. Only 3 more days for that. A quad AC5 Jaeggermech is what I'm gonna save up for. That destruction will sound beautiful. |

Browsing around and ran across a DIY racing cockpit for simracing games built out of 2" Schedule 40 PVC pipe, was wondering if any of you 'mech jockeys had decided to build something like it for your own setup? You can find that build here, by the by. Keep scrolling the forum, he makes some updates to the base design as he goes along, and they do look better when they're painted. I think with a few modifications, you could put your joystick where the shifter is and another one on the other side, if you're into running dual joysticks, and then a drop plate to hold your keyboard in front of you. And you could run a 3-pedal box, have the right pedal be your go forward throttle, the left pedal be your go backward throttle, and the middle pedal is jump jets. Just a thought. I like the availability and inexpensiveness of the parts (you can get decent seats from the local junkyard for cheap, just gotta be handy with a wrench), and the fact you can modify the plan to suit your own needs or style. And not needing a lot of fancy tools or specialized skills to make one doesn't hurt either.
