Tool's Holy Gift So I might be late to the game, but I just discovered this: It's Tool's Lateralus album with an alternate track list that fits the fibonacci sequence. There's actually quite a lot of reading material on how it was originally discovered if you're interested. I've always felt that the original album didn't flow properly, the biggest example being "Ticks and Leaches" between "Schism","Parabol/Parabola" and "Lateralus". It all just felt off. This new arrangement just seems much better. What do you guys think? |
Ive had that on my Phone for a long while, its a great sleep track. I blame Apoc on turning me onto Puscifer, which is sort of Tool-lite, and I started into Tool heavily this year. |
I couldn't ever really get into lateralus or 10,000 days, I thought opiate, undertow, and aenima were much better. Like you said, I didn't think they flowed very well. A Perfect Circle is great too, I never got into Puscifer though. edit: Listened to the whole thing, I like Lateralus much more now. |
lateralus made perfect sense with the correct combination of substance. nuff said edit: that being said, that re-ordered tracklist is actually awesome, and as it's one of my favorite albums I will definitely have to re-burn it like that and give it a listen  |
I love every album Tool has released. Pusifer is horrible and A Perfect Circle is mediocre. Just my opinion. Although there's a live video on youtube of Pusifer that I thought was hilarious, it's far from appropriate to post on this forum, but if you pm me, I'll give you the link. I didn't think I was watching the right video when it started. |

puscifer is best digested live as it is performance art as well as music. V is for vagina is a tough listen if you are looking for Tool. It is not tool. Live the whole thing comes together with the visual and musical melded perfectly. Maynard is a pretty deep dude and has a performance art background. It really shows in this project. |
This one is one of my fav "hidden" Tool tracks. 2 songs played back to back with a third overlaid. |
tool is simply amazing |
I've seen Puscifer live for both of their album releases, they are seriously awesome  |
