The newest console i own and regularly use is my gamecube.

Because of this game, it may be time to get something newer.

Super excited for this BF1
I picked up Hardline when I got my Xbox One and I was totally disappointed after being a fan of BFBC2 and BF3.
I even skipped BF4 but I might come back to the fold for this.

Get BF4 to hold you over until this one! It's only $10 right now.

I am a BIG fanboy of Battlefield, since way back, and I am excited to see that they are moving away from the norm now, which apparently is Call of Duty: Space Ranger Squad.

I never tried Hardline because I heard that the lack of campaign and overall gameplay was pretty weak. BF4 was absolute garbage when it first dropped, but it's one of the smoothest shooters currently running.

I can't wait for BF1 though, after watching the video that manning posted, I'm even more excited. Although, zeppelins seem like a bad idea, unless you can take them down and wipe out a huge chunk of the map with it. That would be sweet!

Everything after Bad Company 2 was unremarkable to me. I was a big fan of the destructible models and class balance it had, as well as the maps. I've played every single BF game that's been on PC, but have completely lost interest with the last two releases.

Never mind the nightmare that BF4 was at launch, I'm not winding up into that whole thing, but like everyone else I did not appreciate it very much.

While at launch it had its issues. Now BF4 one of the smoothest running shooters. every scrub weapon has a counter its balanced and skill based. The way they do the server search you can pick and choose what you want in the game and what you don't. (small maps, big maps, vehicles, no vehicles, ect) Maps are so big with the excption of 2 maps you cant lock a map down. So people actualy have to play the game and move around. (even on team death match) there is also a ton of game modes, with the option to play them at night as well.

I've played them all extensively, and 4 was the one that I enjoyed the least. Just my opinion. This is beside the fact that it was absolute garbage functionally for the first yea and cost $80 (IRC) for a premium preorder.

If BF1 ends up being on point I will probably pick it up when the price comes waaaaay down.

ZEPPELINS!!!

I really hope they tap into some of the bizarre and concept weapons of the time.

Battlefield is about the rock/paper/scissors game play. Everything has a counter. Those zeppelins were used as bombers which would be super powerful in a game. Add in a few bi-planes though and those die rather quickly. The tanks back then were super slow and mobility and vision were an issue when operating them. In BF1942 the German Tiger tanks were lethal but there was only like one of them that spawned at a time so the more numerous Shermans could focus on it and take it out. Prolly will be something similar in terms of game balancing.

I like the look but The BF4 launch has me cautious. Hardline was crap and SW Battlefront isn't really deep enough to use it as a model for this. I will say SW looks great so I'm hoping BF1 is pretty close to the kinematics they were showing.
