Target.com has these for sale right now but only for red card holders. I thought about snagging another but decided that the 5 I purchased initially were enough for me. Grab one and enjoy it if you’re still on the hunt!

VICTORY!

Checked this morning and inventory at Wally-World was zero. I took my car in and my wife took hers for tire checks and oil changes. She was all done, and took all but my youngest and checked out with the groceries. Still waiting for the car, my 3yr old son and I found the foam swords and battled in the toy isles for a while. We walked past the electronics, and on a whim, I asked the woman at the counter, knowing full well that there were none in stock. To my surprise, and disbelief, she said they had a shipment this morning, and still had two left. I bought one, so excited, and dang, that box is tiny. I remember going to the store after christmas as a child with my father and buying an SNES when they were new. Hope my wife likes this.

We scored one yesterday as well. We happened to head into Gamestop on a whim and picked up some DS games for stocking stuffers. Walking out I overheard, "Yeah, these came in this morning on an unscheduled shipment and we aren't expecting more before next month." They had five sitting there, so we brought one home.

I'm hoping they re-release the NES classic again.

I heard it'll be re-released this summer.

I'm fixing to pick up one, too. I want one but am hesitant getting one off of ebay for several reasons.

I'm actually no longer in the market for one. I recently rebuilt my Retropie using one of these. Not only is this a near perfect 1:1 copy of the NES with working power and reset buttons (only much smaller), this thing blows the NES and SNES classic editions out of the water. Near perfect emulation, HDMI, 720p, 802.11n, Bluetooth, expandable storage, limitless customization options and support for tons of different systems make the Nintendo offerings look like children's toys. Plus, I'm not stuck using those 3' wired controllers. Bluetooth controllers FTW. Best of all, it's relatively inexpensive to build and parts are readily available. Scalpers can eat it.

Man. My local everything is out of stock on these. Gamestop and target, Best Buy, Walmart. They either run out of stock quickly or haven’t restocked since. I haven’t seen any since launch.

If you have a toys r us near you, check with them when they first open. I think a lot of people don't really think of them when they're looking for video game related stuff. I was able to walk in my local toys r us on launch day right after they opened & snag one. They're trickling back out so just keep checking around. I was in a gamestop a couple of weeks ago & they actually had one.
