help putting on oring

Hey everyone,
somehow the o-ring on the on/off shaft on my T2 ASA got damaged and caused a leak. I ordered replacement orings and they came today. After taking the damaged one off, I found it to be rather difficult to slip the new one on. I actually broke the first one, leaving me with one more.

Instead of breaking the other one, I thought i would ask for tips to get it on there if anyone has done this.

Thanks,
Jay

lube the shaft and warm the o-ring up in your hand by rubbing it back and forth between hands. then it should go on easier.

thanks! Warming it did help. I also noticed that my lube bottle had a nicely sloped point and less friction than the valve shaft, so i was able to slip it on there pretty far and stretch it out for a little. then i was able to get it on between that and the warming.

Thanks again.
