The website I linked too was my own website lol. And I have it showing out of stock only because it is not available yet. The price of $400 is not the full price of the marker. That may be the down payment they are asking for someone to pre-order it. I don't like doing pre-order sales, only until the release date approaches. And I am in close contact with Carmatech so I will know exactly when that will be.

shangus11 09-10-2012 03:10 PM

yeah i thought it smelt a little fishy wanted a second opinion but your website dont work

GMAN1 09-10-2012 03:16 PM

edit: I'm contacting my web hosting.

BenoitOWN 09-10-2012 04:16 PM

GMAN1 09-10-2012 05:20 PM

Thanks guys. Actually there was a temporary glitch that my provider said they are working on. Hopefully that's the end of that.

The "magstore" in the url you see was added when I was building this new site as a back-up. So if you ever visited the site when I still had the 'magstore' in the url it won't work now because it has been deleted. Try deleting your cache. It may still be the server glitching.

subyrally 09-10-2012 05:53 PM

just fyi, i heard there was some kind of major issue with the internet going on earlier today. some large servers were down for a short period and that was effecting access to some sites. found out at work due to a site i use being down from it.

BenoitOWN 09-10-2012 06:15 PM

Gman1 if your host from Godaddy it will be down untill issue is resolve. They got virtually attacked by anonymous apparently

Ya I just heard. I go through a different company but they go through godaddy so it's the same thing pretty much. I have the link to the story which I'll post in the appropriate place unless someone already put it up.

Here is the link to the thread:

Cool. The production units will have an on/off asa switch so you won't need to unscrew the tank like that. Just pull out the 2 pins and there you go. Very excited about this

subyrally 10-22-2012 03:05 PM

i am still amused that Sonny is putting out a bolt action marker after i was hanging out with him a few years ago at Fulda Gap and he got to mess around with my bolt action cocker.

i am stoked to see that the SAR12 is going to actually be produced. i cant wait to get to see on in person. maybe one of these days, ill get to try one out on the field.

Flonominal 10-22-2012 05:19 PM

Got to check Sonny's prototype at a local scenario event couple of weekends ago. This thing is pretty awesome in person. It does have some weight to it, something like a US Army Tippmann marker. Bolt action was smooth and did have some pull to it. Very similar to the feel of an Airsoft bolt action like an L96. Feels very sturdy with the composite and aluminum mix. Good trigger pull. I'm definitely digging this marker in appeal.

After a shot with the bolt action assembly in, there seems to be something moving rearward in the chamber area. What is that?

russc 10-22-2012 05:50 PM

That's the hammer. It's an interesting inline poppet system. The bolt is picking up the hammer, Nelson-style, and you can see it travel rearwards when it is released.

Actually, I wonder if they went with a Nelson valve? I had been assuming it was Sheridan or Crosman based until now, just because Sonny has always been a WGP guy as far as I knew.

I can't think of another poppet shape that would work well in that configuration, but they must have done some work to get it running well at lower pressures.

That does explain the burpy sound it makes in bolt action mode.

It's a Hawke SR crossbow scope so your rounds should go right where you look.

VooDooAddict 10-30-2012 09:18 PM

It's an exciting time for premium FS markers.

'Black Friday'

The wait has been long but none the less well worth each day. Carmatech Engineering is a company that strives for perfection in it's products and customer service, having such a nice piece of their work in my hands only complements this.
Each part of the SAR-12 marker is designed and made in the USA.

This is a Beta model so production models may differ slightly.

Please feel free to ask any questions about this marker as I will do my best to answer what I can for you.

D3adpool 01-06-2013 01:34 PM

What's the latest with these?

Any update on when its hitting the market?

Jebus 01-06-2013 02:24 PM

Spring 2013 from their website

D3adpool 01-06-2013 02:26 PM

Is that spring 2013 or "fall" 2013 lol.

You know how these things tend to slip.

Jebus 01-06-2013 02:31 PM

Look for a release sometime 2014

D3adpool 01-06-2013 02:48 PM

Lol.

Lastly how many shots per tank are these cranking out? Roughly.

Jebus 01-06-2013 03:14 PM

Now this is just a guesstimate by looking at the picture. probably around 6 or 7 with a 13c HPA tank. Can't find any real info on their site

JaKaL 01-06-2013 06:37 PM

I don't understand why so many people are so down on this gun...
The thing looks awesome to me.
