86 frame auto trigger ball bearing+spring question!?
Hi everyone, I was taking apart 2 of my guns and noticed that one of my 86 frames was missing the very small spring+ball bearing that helps hold the auto trigger mech. in the hole on the trigger fame. Dose anyone know what sizes these are or what they are called? I think osh hardwear will have them, but it would be really helpful to know the size so i dont have to buy a bunch to see what fits. Any info would be very helpfu, TY!!!
I think this is what your looking for:
CCM AT Cam Detent Bearing w/Spring-7B0003-CD | eBay
this is whats causing my gun to not fire sometime, correct?
hmmm didnt know that, mine just uses a pin that holds it
Then one day, a wizard at the shop found the idea to use a pin.
It has been prosperous ever since!
but the new style a/t wont fit on my old style 86 correct? I think the holes are on different sides? maybe im wrong.
I think their newest style goes through one side of the frame and not the other side. So if you're talking about that one, that will not work.
The AT cam that will fit is the one that has the grove on the left side (looking at the from top and the beavertail/rear is towards you..)
Your best bet is to call Mel. There are different sized holes for the bearing as well. I'm trying to find the ancient email that I had regarding a frame with the bearings and the first time I was sent a bearing that was far too large.
You have to remember, CCM has made a ton of frames... And there have been revisions here and there. Ball bearing to pin, single pin for AT to multiple pin, and then different cam widths.
So I really have no clue what cam you have and which particular frame.
Can't say for sure.
For the mean time, you can have the AT Screw hold the lever in. That should keep the cam from moving out of the frame too much.
And for your viewing pleasure. (Couldn't find the email or folder that has the other frame pics)

mine has the hole on the right side. both 86 frames and a/t are the exact same so I swapped my parts...thats when I found out one of the guns was missing a bearing and spring. Im very pleased with the outcome tho!:D
