Seen any interesting autococker shrouds?
I've been piecing together an actual autococker from the donor parts bin. After a good bit of replacing seals, making parts, and getting it all sealed up, it's starting to come together. One part I ended up with is an old square front block. After getting all of the fittings sealed up, I'm not all that anxious to play "naked". I'm thinking about building something silly as a shroud and threading mounting holes in that front block.

I don't recall seeing anything more custom than something like a carter shroud or a splash ano'ed one. Maybe I wasn't paying attention, or there is a reason no one fiddles with them.

So, seen anything like a fancy shroud made of wood, stainless, or painted, printed, googly eyed, etc.?

The only shrouds for the pneumatics that are "common" are the basic metal shrouds (made of plastic in later models) and the all neoprene covers (kinda rare). I have seen custom shrouds occasionally, but they are usually done in conjunction with a custom AC, you don't really find them out by themselves. Very cool idea though. I might look into putting some tac rails on one of mine just for fun!

Something that looks like an old fighter plane all riveted together and stuff.

That would be very cool!! I would pick up 1 or 2! Maybe some old bomber pin up art hydrograhics the sides?

My son's real job is cutting into my 3d printer access.

Some black ninja flex with cooling fins would be interesting. I was also thinking perforated stainless, but I would have to do something with the edges.

mmm... louvers like a hot rod hood... in polished stainless or brass.

The WGP tactical had a shroud where you could bolt stuff to it. It was functional and different.

not quite what you're looking for, but i've always been fond of shrouds milled and anodized to match markers, like so:
