Another 12 gram holder
I had a thought for a 12 gram cartridge holder that I wanted to throw out there. So far this is just a concept, and I have no idea what kind of potential (if any) that it may hold. I'll start with pics:
The basic idea is to have a holder that holds a fresh 12ie, and when you empty the the one you're using you shove the empty one into the holder from the top, out pops the fresh cartridge from the bottom. The fresh 12ie is held on the bottom by a magnet for you to grab and use, while the empty one is captured in the holder.
My vision for this initially was to have a few holders side by side that would clip onto a MOLLE vest or onto a belt. But I think it could also work as a tube mounted on the gun or stock.
Lol, I like it.
I like this idea. I am always try to police my 12ies, this would be a fun way to do it.
That is an interesting idea.
Nice! That's exactly the idea!
Here's a mock-up of the side by side idea
This is a great idea. Any plans to making this MOLLE compatible? I'd love to not have empty 12ies telegraphing my location from my pockets when I hustle. Have you considered doing this like a magazine, might be able to get an extra 12g in there without increasing the dimensions.
Idk if it would significantly affect the design, but would it work the other way around? It'd be really convenient for a bucket changer to just kinda pop the 12ie right into the bucket (and not try piercing the wrong end:rolleyes:)
Good looking design. I'd probably put the empty in the opposite direction so I don't get empty/full confused when playing.
This is why I love you guys ;) Always great input!
MOLLE compatible is definitely a feature on my radar. I haven't really used any MOLLE stuff though, so I'll be doing some research
Popping straight to a bucket changer is a great idea! I only have a drop out changer, so I didn't think of that. Though, to "fall" into the bucket changer, I would probably have to omit the magnet... Or make it removable... Hmmmm
Kinda like this...
