First Layer Gaps
3 Attachment(s)
Hey guys getting some gaps in the first layer I cant seem to fix.

Slic3r prusa edition
Prusa i3 MK2.5 with the latest firm update
Atomic PETG
220C print temp (all layers)
85C bed temp (all layers)
.15mm layer height
.25mm first layer height
Calibrated the extruder
Calibrated the first layer
First layer speed is 15mm/s
First layer extrusion width is .45mm
Extrusion multiplier is 1
Filament diameter is 1.73 (average)

Sticks to the bed and the first layer perimeters come out good but the gaps are persistent. I have tried changing print temp, first layer height, first layer width and speed with no good outcome. The rest of the print came out great.

Out of ideas

First Layer Gaps
In cura there is a setting for overlap of the perimeter and the inner portion (not sure what to call it, but it's the diagonal lines in your first layer). It seems like yours has no overlap. Is that a setting you can change in your slicer?

Also, does it have the issue only on the first layer, or do you notice it in other layers too?

There is an infill/perimeters overlap setting currently set at 25%. All the other layers are printing fine with no gaps.

My first instinct would be to re check bed level. And then try with lower first layer height.

So I printed a bed level test and it looks like the bed is definitely off. Funny how I did this not long ago and it turned out fineAttachment 68381

flip the sheet and run the test on the other side? Could it be bent more than the magnets can pull down?

Is it possible that one Z stepper lost a step at some point? It looks like the unlevelness is more on one side than the other.

Recalibrated xyz and did the first layer calibration again. No dice. I adjusted the bed level -50 on the left side and it's coming out pretty even. Having issues with adhesion now. Made no difference what side of the sheet I was printing on

No more gaps except for one square in the back. A few perimeters didn't stick but overall came out goodAttachment 68404

-55 on the left side and -10 on the back did the trick. Guess I will be checking and calibrating the bed more often. Thanks guysAttachment 68413
