3d printing helmet??

My printer isn't big enough to make one, but my first thought would be vacuum forming? The shape is pretty simple, though I admit I have no vacuum forming experience.

Would already need the helmet first to vacuum form it to make a copy I believe

I was thinking along the lines of just rough shaping it from wood or foam or something to use as the mold
