Low end mech game?

Taking inspiration from qmto and his Spyder tournament, it got me thinking about a rec game closer to home. Would there be any interest in a game this Spring using nothing but low end markers like Spyders, Model 98s, and other entry level blowback markers? We like our pumps, brass and other shiny things, but these old things tend to collect dust in our closets. No batteries, nothing fancy. Anyone who doesn't own a blowback could even get a rental at the field if they needed.

You have my attention.

i think a field rental only tournament would be hilarious. gotta use all rental gear.

Haha - including rental masks, and everyone has to wear a rental padded vest :ROTFL:

No, but seriously, an all-low-end-blowback game sounds like fun :)

I'm not so much considering a tournament as I am a day of rec play similar to the click clack bloop games, but using blowbacks. Still, that would be pretty fun.

I'm trying to talk my local field into doing something similar. I think it would be a blast!

Yes yes and yes. It’ll be a paint fest for this crew, most paint in the air we’ve seen outside of castle...

You had me at blowback.

Trbo323 01-18-2020 09:53 AM

Heck yes on the blowback, not so much on all rental gear

My local field does a mech only day once a month

Actually I think it'd be fun to have a low-key tournament with brackets and points and all that jazz. Never done one.

And please don't make me use rental gear. I'll shoot anything as long as I can buy (and clean) my own.
