It's here

The ATS I bought finally came today and all I can say is wow. I'll post some pictures up once I have time but it looks really nice. The previous owner used real AR-15 parts as well as parts from ATS to convert this AT-85 into an AT-4 of sorts without buy the AT-4 receiver. Anything I should know before I take it out to the field and give it a trial run besides reading the manual. :)

Ok here are the pics I promised.

Do not air it up with the mag in

Heebs 02-03-2009 09:55 AM

But do dry fire it with the mag in.

Gumby 02-03-2009 10:00 AM

You actually should only dry-fire with an empty magazine installed. If you dry-fire without a magazine installed you can damage your guide plate.

Pictures are up. And there is a screw blocking the full auto selection, I'm assuming all I have to do is remove it so I can have full auto.

Yep.

Nice marker man.

BigT4203 02-03-2009 08:11 PM

Cool thanks. Parts of the marker are made from real AR-15 parts like the hand guards. So I have run into two problems now; cleaning the barrel is going to be a pain since basically the who front of the gun had to come off in order to take off the barrel. And two, the velocity adjustment rod doesn't reach all the wat down, its a little less than 1 inch short. So I'll have to figure a way out to solve that problem.

What could happen if you do?

You could break your guide plate. That is the most common problems but there are a few others.

And for the record. ALL AT4's and the 416/417's furniture are real M16/M4 Parts. There are no air soft parts on a factory stock ATS.
