See its to each his own....a complicated thing that defines why we get which guns.
I disagree the single sided pump has no affect on the performance of the gun,I almost posted the same question.

slide triggers feel different, feed tube lengths can be a ergonomic issue, rock forward works with the nelson design, rock back with sheridans.

the single sided arm is a non-issue on the ghost,my tri-car is just as smooth as my buzzard was and you'll miss out on owning a great SC gun with a judgment like that.

Probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference, but then again as I've said no one around here has any of the higher end SC stuff. Enough time spent with setups one develops the muscles and memory to tell the difference.

If I handed you Intimidators, egos, cyborg, against marq (poppet....oh tricky!), geos, droids etc whats the odds youd tell them apart? Nonetheless you would have a preference if you were dropping the coin to pick up only one.

I have a preference and you may never understand. Symmetry is a good place to start though...

Edit: As per nelson/sheridan design as per rock motion. That's the common design but no reason one can't be one way or the other. Snipers and the Illusion are can be set up both ways, though sc snipers are usually back and Illusions are rock forward. If someone wants it they can make it happen. As for feel yep they feel different. But which you prefer is all you. And I only see minor ergonomics in feed tube length, mostly in those awkward positions. But in those same positions I may, just may, like dual pump arm with special pump arm screws I can grab onto like a bolt.

what im getting at is there are multiple people in this thread that handle high end stock class guns full time, like myself and edddaaakka confirming its a non issue. I can see not picking the ghost because of a defect or maybe the grip frame is uncomfortable or a much more solid concern. Im just suggesting that you try the gun first before skipping it over that.

Like I said around here none of this high end gear exists, and regardless I believe I will get a used ghost but I wouldn't be surprised if in a few weeks I added my own little touches, in this case being a big touch.

PS Resale is of no importance to me in case someone doesnt want one thats gone under minor surgery like that.

Would it be nice if the Ghost had 2 arms? yes
Does it really really matter? no

And if you can't live without dual arms it shouldn't be that hard to add another slot in the body and add another arm. Only tough part would be drilling the bolt, I can't recall exactly how the arm attaches atm...

Thats the plan haha. I kinda alluded to my idea above. Take it apart, study it quickly, come up with a plan. Design and build for minor error (adjustable where the new arm screw so it will line up perfectly each time) and have pump arm screws with a short extension for bolt like effect. Have to play around with hoses so they don't get in the way but that would be fairly straightforward.

If it's really that big of a deal don't even bother with ghost. Get a buzzard. They look pretty.

ha yeah I started typing before you posted so my first post definatly seems redundant now.

What do you mean by lining up each time?

and if you want a bolt like effect just take off the existing arm and plug a screw in there.

EDIT: if you really want a gun with dual arms and are looking to buy used why not buy a Bushmaster?

Eddaka- always had a attraction to the ghost....dunno its just prettier some how and its the cost thing. If I can pick up a used ghost, try it out, and alter it I would prefer that than dropping 400-500 for the used buzzard which just doesn't have as much ....magic? to it. Something like a buzzard I would mess with the anno to deugly it (Few buzzards I really like).

Fort-essentially the lining up is that even with wonderful measurements and careful cutting it may not be perfect, and since I'd be mocking up a second pump arm (maybe altogether new pump) why not allow for some adjustment of where the arm and screw and bolt all make one happy family. I'd like to be able to adjust my pump arm length (not length of the pump motion but where the pump sits on the body) by a inch so anyone that uses it can set it for their own feel. Something like this I would be lending out to few people I play with alot, and I know some people, like my brother, like either long pump handles or ones that sit farther out.

The bolt thing your not fully understanding, in that I still have the pump handle with bolt like pump screws. Something when in a tight spot I can readily grab onto without weird contortioning or sticking something too far out. And I am right handed but I play left hand dominant. More of a ambidextrous person....except for the handwriting thing haha

PS: There is a bushmaster listed in the want adds, Pm'd on it and no response. So either he has sold it and doesn't want to list it as such/can't be bothered to mention it or he needs a friendly reminder.
