sniper auto trigger questions

Can any one give a decent description or image of how the sniper2 slide or hinge auto trigger functions? I'm thinking of breaking down and getting one, but I'd just as soon make one if possible...
If not possible, any opinions on the market auto triggers would be interesting to hear.
Thanks

CCM makes AT for their frames but you have to buy their frams.

Gat Products makes AT kits for sliders but u need your pump rod drilled.

I favor CCM cuz it works. Not to sure about Gat products, I've seen a video of it working but when I was in my local shop someone had brought one in and it wasn't really working.

I think theres also a person who makes AT cams for both sliders and hing (i think) and can drill the rod in Hawaii but forgot who.

how it works -
"Added to the pump model for review was an auto-trigger. This cam and lever arrangement links to the pump arm and while the pump is back, keeps the trigger forward. When the pump is forward, it allows the trigger to be pulled. Thus by continually pressing on the trigger a player can make the J2 fire each time a pump stroke is completed. In the 1980s, auto-triggers were considered the high end of tournament firepower, able to unleash 3, 4 or sometimes more balls per second."
taken from warpig review of CCM J2 Pump found here

I made a few..

for your inspiration
Thumper's Sniper II AutoTrigger Design

how they work : the AT CAM is safety thats blocks the trigger from letting the sear release the lug.

by beveling the side of the cam, and controlling the rotation of the beveled part, you can make the safety fail (and the gun fire).

the trick is tweaking the timing such that the safety fails as the bolt is in the right position.

I really did make on out of viewlower elbow screw, some old sheridan trigger guts and a bit of hammered brass rod.

Does anyone sell pre-drilled pump rods? Or is there a reason why that is a stupid idea? It sure would be nice to just buy a kit and be done with it.

Not to thread jack but do you make your CAM's from scratch or are they purchased parts that have been modified?
