Thanks

I took the entire gun apart piece by piece, gutted the reg.(this was a chore i didn't want to do on the field incase i lost something) Lube'd the whole thing with Vaseline, something i should have done the day i got it. noticed some wear items and grooves present. got it all back together with the SS piston, dumped 50rnds and (2) 12grams with out a problem. My advice is don't be bashful with the vaseline.

i think Redbeard has stepped out of this thread and is not a liason to metadyne so you may not get anywhere trying to get his help. he posted several pages back about people sending him pm's about questions and it seemed he was a little perturbed about it. may be easier to call metadyne or send an email. they have been returning emails pretty decent after a couple days.

I talked to redbeard personally in person. He said he would try for me even though his standing on this thread and such. He didn't want me to not get my guns even though he was bitter about things. I haven't gotten an email back despite my two trys or my calls two weeks ago. I know others have had luck but it seems I have none. The thing is I live 4 hrs away and some how I still don't have my guns despite my early order time or location.

Moose don't feel bad I received my gun and had the carbon fiber rod come out of the breech an also the carbon fiber shredded inside the thumb plate. But you know the best part I sent it back to have it worked on 5 weeks ago.

I'm keeping hope alive. I've left two phone messages and E-mailed them twice. I know with all the problems they must be crazy. And I'm not desperate for this gun to work. So hopefully they get back to me. Feyd..............

buddy of mine just had to pay $20 because when he sent his back they said the valve was damaged. he said the gun never worked from the get go and there was no manual. they told him everyone was emailed the link to the video manual, which i didn't recieve either. then there was the confusion on whether they were joking about the vasoline lube or not. needless to say they charged him $20 for a new valve because he used unauthorized lube. he was using the honey style lube since it is thick like vasoline.

IIRC slick honey is a combination of synthetic motr oil and vaseline. It's specifically manufactured to NOT SWELL orings contrary to what Metadyne recommends/states it does.
It's my belief that the Clippard valve gets bogged down by thin lubes entering the chamber. Vaseline is also likely to do this, but it will take a little longer.
Regardless... My Thumper that is now equipped with the steel piston, and lubed with vaseline is not working.
I suspect the Clippard.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

Just use petroleum jelly. They say do it, and those of us who tried it, say the same.
