Do you mean the counter sink on the end of the barrel?

If so put it on a angle plate on a mill indicate it in and countersink it.

About a hundred years ago (2001?) I remember reading about doing this using a 1" steel ball bearing and jeweler's rouge or some other abrasive compound.

I'd probably roughly carve it down with a dremel first, then start with the bearing and rouge. Using one of the stone grinding cones and holding the dremel in your right hand with your fingers and the barrel in your left hand, but gently guiding it with your right thumb.

Good luck.

Ooh! Rainman, you could probably lathe out a cone out of 1" drill rod (or something harder) and then hand push the barrel against it. Once you had it made, you could do it to any barrel. Just a thought.

You could also talk to Carter directly. If Buzzards have beveled barrels it would make sense that he would have the equipment to bevel a barrel.

It could be done on the right lathe with out any speical tools realy. But requires a lathe that has a thru hole to fit the barrel. My one lathe do's, but changing the 3 in 1 back and furth is a pain in the rear.

the barrel backs in the OTP G3 kit are only about 2 inches long so you would not need to fit the whole barrel in to the lathe just the barrel back.

Don't know if that helps at all.
