Here we go cutting again(pump mag plates)

Well after some long over due searching and headaches. I finally got my copy of version 19/20 of bobcad working again. You know after they refused to give me a key for it. I didn't go the illegal route if that's what your thinking. Just salvaged it of an old hard drive.

But enough of that. I can write g-code again rather then rely on the software to do it in ways I don't like or find to long to deal with.

So I final got to write the g-code for t handle plates for mag kits.

Here's a video I filmed of it. Sound has be replaced as gets annoying.

Next I need to make handle

Hell yeah! Glad to see you are making chips again.

Have you looked in Fusion360? It has CAD and CAM built in. For students and start up/small businesses it is a free license.

What I hate about most of the new cad cam softwares. Is that almost all of them require you to draw a 3d object or solid to get the cam to work. What I like about v20 of bobcad is I didn't have to. I could get the same effect with a 2d drawing and some line off setting. Cuts my cad time down for simple parts. I'm not detailing body for gods sacks. Just don't understand why they need to make it so time consuming. Oh and after your done making said 3d I love when it gives you a cutting error. or decides a line is circle. Just like simple.

Oh look squirrel

I haven't tried the simple 2d to gcode in Fusion360. I will give it a shot later today.

I tried a simple 2d sketch to gcode for something which looks like a pump plate. It was quick and easy.

Extremely,, And what's the point of complicated cam software. If their going to forget key G code of tool changes that keep you from breaking tools.

But nice to be cutting.

Lite and smooth to. Would look nice on a polished pump mag. Don't you think?

Draw it up and send me the dwg, or dxf file. I'll run them. Don't have a cocker plate for measurements. All I need is hole off sets. Don't need the whole thing drawn out.
