1992 Promaster SI (Pre-Spyder)

I bought this back in 1992, then decided I wanted something with a simpler design (I didn't like blow-backs), and shortly thereafter bought an Automag.

It hasn't been fired since 1992, which means it's in almost new condition, having only been used for a couple of months, then sitting in storage for 16 years. To become usable again, it has to be re-built with all new rubber, o-rings, and the like. I've been reading reviews on the Promaster SI online, and apparently people still like 'em. Personally, I'll stick to a blow-forward (thanks Automag) but for a collector, this could be the perfect marker for them.

I might be willing to part with it for the right price. I've seen these go for up to $350.

From what I've read, a rebuild/upgrade for these markers use Spyder parts (if new bolts etc. are necessary or desired), but that's up to whomever ultimately owns it (even if that owner is still me.) Promaster SI's pre-date Spyders.

Cool gun.. Is $350 your price? I only ask because we do ask that you state a price for selling a gun.

I'd be willing to let this go for as low as $150, despite the rarity. I know someone out there is a collector, and I'd rather see it in their hands.

I used to play for the All A's and when I was a kid starting out I had one of these.....the funny thing is that they were WAY before the Spyder but almost the same gun....these things shot really fast! The problem was that they had an issue with the body cracking right where the screw goes in to hold on the main valve. That is what happened to mine. If they had done it right they could have been as big as Spyder They all didnt crack but it was a flaw/defect in many.

brings back memories though....Id buy it but not for 350!!
