uh, so far no questions.
The date seems fine for me. I'm looking forward to it, I'll be looking forward to seeing what the party ends up being.

I'm looking forward to playing something other than a bard (as much as I love my bard).

No problems here so far.
I'm often home in time, too. I might end up being later, second job and all. But at least it's a "we close at nine and the ride's five minutes after cleanup" thing, and not a "We close at nine, start making faces at the last customer at twenty after, then have to clean up and a forty-minute ride" timing.

Just added a sheet for you. The beginning of the adventure is designed to get you into the game and %e has the most beginner friendly rule-set ever.

My 8 year old is picking it up pretty well so you won't have a problem.

Send me an email address so I can send a proper invitation and give you control of your sheet.

My buddy Mike, from the looks of it is going to be making a Dragonborn Sorcerer for the game.

Anyone else know their characters yet?
I always find it interesting to fit myself into a gap.

I've got several ideas, choosing which one is generally the hard part. I'm wondering what most of the party is doing.

One idea, something I've had on the burner for a while is a Dwarven Wild Magic Sorcerer. Gained his magics in his old profession as a gem cutter.

I'm keen to try a monk, I have a sweet idea for him up to level 10 (I know this won't happen now, but good time to start).

Also been thinking about a tempest cleric. While not the best healer, I would take that one if we end up with no other healers in the group.

So far we have a Dragonborn/Sorcerer.

With the ability to heal during short rests lack of a PC whose only job is to heal isn't a party breaker like it used to be. Our last group made it to Level 5 and was doing quite well without a healer of any kind and we didn't die in battle. Bard, Cleric, Druid, Ranger, Paladin all have access to the same healing spell and anyone of those would likely be enough.

Play what you have the urge to play and we will make it work. If you Don't have anything you can think of that you want to play or if the PC you want to use you don't think would fit in the adventure check the Pregens backgrounds. There are plot hooks in there and you could weave those into your character.

I will say that for a beginners game the training wheels are pretty much off after the first encounter So this, IF I run it right should be fun and challenging for everyone. If we stick through the whole adventure I have no problem running this organically or into another module if we want to continue and no one else wants to DM. Not going to promise detailed maps especially if we go organically but we could keep running.

To be honest in the 4 levels we've played through POA, I think I've only used Healing Word, maybe twice? So you're right, it's not that big a deal. Especially at level 1 starting out.

Was looking at Warlock last night, that could be fun too. Maybe a tiefling Archfey. There really are plenty of options. I'll skip the sorcerer since we have one already, might as well do something else.

Anyone thinking tanky fighters at all?
