Dice collectors...

...why?

I mean, I'm definitely not complaining right now, but it amazes me I can ever witness someone paying the same for a set of dice as a set of tires.

Last dice I purchased was like $5 for 100 small black dice, which was about 90 more dice than I actually needed.

Yeah, I buy sets for under $9, or grab a few from the $15-a-pound bags I bought.
These are ones I personal-used out from when I ran a tiny hobby company. At $4.50 wholesale. This is already a 4000% return on investment, with most of the bidding left to go.

I guess it's like paying for that rare old matched anno. I get the desire, i have more dice than I need, and keep buying anyway, but if I'm spending that type of cash it better be for metal (ti/zirc/copper) or stone. Even then, I'd still be out.
