all good info there ^^.

but to be fair about the store owners... it's just a product to them; they need to make rent at the end of the month.

they are (were?) several stores within an hour of me.
when i sell cards at a store, it always comes down to the personal relationship that i have with the store owner.
but yeah, some owners are complete douches...

it will come down to putting in lots of "sale" time if you want to get the most out of it.
posting single auctions on ebay will get the most "view time" by buyers.

Oh, I agree with it being just a product but when you are easily going to make between 5-8 thousand dollars off of just my popular cards, donít try and tell me you are going to lose out if you offer more. Long story short he was lowballing everyone who went there to sell cards. He was a douche and I know not all store owners are like that.

Right now sliver queen is worth $200+
A year ago is was $80
When I bought it, I was in awe I was spending $25 on a card.
Quick answer is you canít. A new card could come out tomorrow that makes sliver queen obsolete or make her worth even more. On a different note I try not to look at the value of old cards now because it makes me kick myself. I had three sliver queen.

True, but you can generally tell for the block if something will be strong. And the people super into usually have an idea of what to expect out of a block based on the first set and wherever else they hang out to learn this info. Iím sure there isnít an exact science for the reason you said, but ****, man... $200 is a lot... and while I use my sliver EDH, theyíre all allegedly at an all time high for prices. (I havenít looked myself- store owner told me last night.)

The most accurate I think you can get is looking at the time of the sale. Selling between sets, before spoilers, and after a tournament where one deck didnít absolutely smash the field.
