PRZ - Fight for Asylum - Carter's Photo Thread

Just got back yesterday from PRZ. Great time. A huge thank you to our Canadian hosts who showed us a great time, new foods, and an amazing place to play.

I'll try and get the video up later this week but for now some photos:

Never been to PRZ. Heard about it, so had to make the trip. If you've never been, put it on your calendar as a place to go. Old military base, hospital turned asylum, turned paintball field. (Do I have that right? Correct me if not.)

Head on inside.. There were no lights when I went in. Many rooms, stairs go up to another floor. More rooms, breached walls, windows on the left and right to shoot out onto open court yards with bunkers and players.

Blue vs Red - Flags and these push props to signify who had control over an area.

Outside:

The battle raged on during Saturday's Play with most of the battle being between the two buildings and outside on both the left and right of the buildings.

Nish who we picked up in VT and endured the ride with xxfettxx and I:

People I don't know... But battled on all day!

Vendor Area in the morning before it got completely full!!

French Paintball magazine? I only remember reading "Le Magazine" on the top of it.

Meant to go back and read it, but got caught up in learning the culture...

MILK IN A BAG!!!!

Our Canadian Brethren told me it was so they could take it home to put it in a plastic container. I just couldn't help to think that it should just already be in a convenient plastic container.

Of course there was an awesome food truck there serving this:

It was delicious. Yes I ate the whole thing. No I couldn't get up and run for at least an hour later.

There was also something called "Butter Tarts". No photos. They all were demolished among the group before I could think about snapping a photo. So damn good. Never heard of them before, but I'm going to make a batch to bring to EMR next weekend.

...

After a long hard day and a very cold night a hot bath would have been nice...

but decided to skip that spa treatment and curled back up for the evening in my tent

It was even colder the next night. Something about Celsius makes everything seem colder.

Thanks PRZ! Will be back!

~ 1000 mile round trip. Good ride, good friends, and thank goodness we weren't looking to be saved...

... they were closed.

We will be back!

PRZ is one of those fields that I'm dying to get to. 4.5 hours from Buffalo. Wish there was a ferry across the lake

What are accommodations like around there? Camping? Hotels? Airbnb?

There is a Bed and Breakfast in town I was told... Didn't see much for hotels. We all just camped. Lots of camping area, flat, grass. Lots of campers and tents, so I would say that's what most decided to do.

There was a food truck there with goodies and poutine but we went shopping downtown and hit Tim Hortons for Coffee. Plenty of good food to at the store. Burgers, ribs, dessert, drinks, etc.

We ate like Kings!

Excellent. So all I need to do is bring a camp stove and a cooler for a run into town for food. Right on.

I've been looking for some 2-day scenarios that are something other than the epic adventure that is Invasion of Normandy. That game requires so much planning and packing extra supplies. It's fun, but I'm getting lazier with age.
