Damon was it discussed at the players briefing that tanks can't be in the speedball field? I wasn't there for it so maybe I missed it. You said we were out because we didn't stay on the road but I was under the impression tanks could go anywhere as long as they had 10 ft visibility an the vegetation was low enough.

The tank rules are definitely vague and need to be rewritten.

The rules have always had room for improvement and clarity, not that they have changed much over the years though.

Regardless of the gameplay and nonsense I was still able to get some good footage when my camera wasn't covered in splatter, rain, mud, or all of the above.

Nice video. I'm pretty sure that's a couple of us on the other end of you and the tank at the 3 min mark.

I'm more than certain it is as I remember seeing y'all when walking off the field when we got pushed us out of sinker 10-20 or so min later.

I am curious why there are so many issues with the rules and communication for such a long running game. I keep hoping to make the trip down for this game but from what I am seeing about this last round I am not sure it would be worth the trip.

I keep seeing new head refs and new faces in ref staff each year. On the years we actually go over the rules in decent detail during the opening players meeting the issues with rules are severely diminished. No one likes reading over them rules so it gets put off to the side, even though we have to sign a paper saying we read the rules in its entirety.

The biggest issue this year was the non-existent General on South side. That won’t be an issue next time. Some of the rules at Wayne’s differ from other fields. Just like there are some players who don’t read the rules, I can assume that some of the “non regular” refs also needed to study the rules more also. Flounder, I have been playing scenarios at Wayne’s for 19 years. There isn’t a year that I’ve played that something memorable hasn’t happened. For me half of the experience is actual game play. The rest is just the experience of hanging with the guys at camp and hanging with people that I only see at the games. You just gotta come and experience it for yourself.
