CCI piercing assembly for PGP

Hey, are there any nice guides for installing the CCI piercing assembly on the PGP?

I know that it has been done by a lot of folks, it is just nice to see some photos and a walk through to mull over.

Also has anyone besides 3022 made their own pierce pin out of a sharpened bolt and ran the gun in otherwise standard configuration besides tapping the hole for the bolt? That seems like a great way to go too.

It's nice to have an off the shelf part with the bonus of CCI (best) grade 12gram seal built into it though.

Thanks for any info.

Big Matt customs had made a part using CCI pierce pin assembly. On aluminum Sheridan valve assembly. Change valve stem to constant air. Since you do not have to pierce the 12 gram. Insta-pierce and CCI 12 gram face seal.

just turn/file off the edges that hold the face seal in place, then drill tap for the CCI.

As you might know, I've seen the first one. 3022 has good details on his method.

For a cart valve I think the best method would be to thread the cci unit directly to the valve possibly removing the whole brass unit that typically retains the 12g seal and guides the 12ie into position.

Wanted to see if anyone has done something that I didn't see 4 years ago

It is pretty funny that some ideas keep coming back around. I've done a search for a question like this one and found threads I started more than once.
