The key is to assemble the barrel and hone it together, this will wear your hone extra, running over the whole barrel, but gets the most important part, the point where the inserts meet the barrel!

For those who would like a visual of vortex shedding, here's a great simulation from a golf ball company of a sphere vs golf ball. Dimples won't work on the flexible surface of a paintball unfortunately!!!

That's what makes the circle!

Would it be safe to assume that Palmers has spent the $40 for 1200LA hone or do they do something different? I think I saw this mentioned earlier but I can't seem to find it now.

Also with a flex honed barrel, what effects would overboring and underboring have? Which would you recommend? Obviously I ask because I'm considering purchasing from Palmers [emoji16][emoji16]

It's been a joy reading the information(backed my science) as well as the experience of you guys. I'm learning a lot and ready to drink the Koolaid [emoji23][emoji23]

Slight overbore with a flex honed barrel has always seemed more accurate to me, but I have no empirical evidence to back that with.
