Brass and Wood Fan
12g length variation and lever changers.

This is posted in ask the experts, but I am hoping to get Agent-smith's attention so I posted it here too...

Ive heard that people who use lever-changers need to be careful about what 12g's they are using as too much size variation can mean that you may end up dumping an entire 12g right after piercing. I have heard some people mitigate this by measuring their 12g's and using them in a particular order (smallest to largest or vice versa).

to those that use 12g's with lever changers and measure them, how much of a change in length in terms of mm's (or another unit of measurement) of the 12g's being used does it take to necessitate adjustment of the lever changer to keep it from venting after a pierce?

I answered over there, Wrongbloke!

We play Pistol and we encourage the Few despite the discouragement of the Many.
