Admittedly the aesthetics of the exposed line aren't ideal, but at this point I'm more concerned with having easy access to disconnect the macro from the reg as any time I need to take the frame off, the line has to come off also.

As for the video, well, Murphy struck again. Aired up to chrono, took a couple of shots, only hitting 230. Ok, turn up the reg a bit... Hiiiiiiiiissssssssss. I manhandled one of the hoses a bit too much putting it on and when I cranked the pressure it developed a pinhole right at the edge of the barb. Doh.

Was at a team practice so no time to mess with it. Replaced the hose again at home, much more gently this time, and then cranked the pressure with no leaks this time around. I will try again for video this weekend as my memorial day BBQ schedule is light this year and I'll be at my parents house where I'll have a yard to actually shoot in.

Don't sell yourself too short man, if anything I'm operating under cheater status here. This was mostly done when I had 8 hours a day of access to a Bridgeport, which makes things a lot easier.

This is crying out for a 3D printer.

As long as the printer media was strong enough, sure, though I'm not sure that normal machining procedures wouldn't be more cost effective. It's really not as hard as it probably seems, as long as you have access to the right equipment.

Still buy far one of the coolest looking paintball pistols ever.

Having had an ACP 2.0 I love those particular magazines :-)

There is a gent on here with a fancy (very good resolution) 3D printer that is offering his services in ABS. Might be worth asking about a run of these shells? (or something similar with an ION base instead?). Just saying... I always loved the look of the ACP 2.0 (I should have kept it but I was afraid of not being able to get parts (D'oh! If only I'd come here first!) and your gun just takes it to a whole new level.

Too cool to die

I don't care that I'm three years late to this party. It's still a really cool idea and execution. Plus, there's the 50-cal version now and these markers seem to be finding their way onto Amazon and whatnot. Seems like a super great/cheap entery-level modders platform, unless I'm missing something obvious.

Q's:

Pistolerogue - Can you update if you ever did a firing vid? If not, what was it like to use it? Did it ever stop popping internal tubing? Was it efficient, problematic or fun?

Scougar - Could you follow up about 3d printing in plastic? Did you ever find out about this? I think you hit the nail on the head about 3d printing a body for the Gog Enmey, it's just begging for it. The only question is if the plastic would stand up to regular wear.

If people haven't totally moved on from this, I'd love to hear what they have to say.

Sshhhh.... that will likely be my next project once I hopefully get my hands on a .50 cal enmey by next weekend. The only downside of these is the much larger reg's they tend to use compared to pistols.

Bang*Bang**: This was 2.5 years ago now, and I really cannot recall who was offering the 3D Printing in ABS I'm sorry. I don't have the motivation right now to go searching for it if I am honest. It's probably in the custom section or the services section. As a side note, I got Solidworks, but I haven't even installed it yet, but there is hope that I will start tinkering with 3D parts myself in the future.

Kind of funny that this thread got brought back from the dead, since I was actually spending some time reworking Heresy yesterday.

I got a G1M just to pirate the frame and the new valve core (all the seals are housed in a removable sleeve now instead of some hard to access ones in the firing can). Now I just have to make two cuts, drill and tap a hole, and a little bit of filing to mount the reg to the new frame. I chose the mechanical route because the Extcy has been discontinued and we've been running out of our team supply of solenoids. Sadly the noid design on those just hasn't met my requirements for reliability, whereas the 2nd gen Enmey/G1M firing valve is as close to bulletproof as anything else I've seen.

Using the G1M frame also forces me to sacrifice the air-thru grip setup, as there just isn't enough room to route macro through that area without risking damage or interference with the firing valve and trigger. Still looking at mounting solutions but I think I'm going to mount an ASA off the rear of the grip so the remote comes off more like a TiPX remote line configuration.

BangBang- to answer your questions more directly, I don't believe I have any video, though I do intend to get some.eventually. The only issues I've had are with the Extcy solenoids and the -017 oring right behind the breech. Using the new G1M stuff should solve both issues. Efficiency is a question for someone else probably, I reconfigured my gear so that I could use one pack for every gun I have so when I'm running pistol I throw my 45 SL into the tank pouch on my MOLLE pod pack and 5 X 10 rnd PistolPods. It's far more than enough air for the paint. Never had a problem with 300 rounds out of a 22ci either, if that helps.
