Whoops, forgot about that. Should work now, or shortly.

So these can be modified for better reliability or at least better parts availability?

If this stays working, yes. Going to run some more air and hopefully paint through it. I'm just sealing it with regular o-rings right now. I'll pull it back apart and get pictures/numbers. This one was missing the actually firing piston and had a bored out bolt, so I had to scavenge the parts off my other Sidekick for testing.

Any mods that a machinist would have to do? Does it still freeze up under rapid firing?
I have never taken either of mine apart.

No mods, just rings. It does freeze up still, though I'm testing it in a somewhat cold environment. After re-latching the bolt and letting it warm up I can resume firing.

So far so good on the powertube, using 3 4x1.5mm Buna 70 O-rings.

Have to slide them over the ram first:

They'll fit into this slight step milled into the power tube:

The third one will protrude out a bit:

Closed up and good to go:

If you take the ram out, you have to also pull out and re-seat the o-rings, or they'll get pushed down the powertube when re-installing the ram.

Pulled out the "detent":

No spring or anything, just a bearing pressed in. This was too far forward anyway, probably just a paint smashing device.

Got another Sidekick, this one with an integrated springfeed:

It also has a different set of internals, that my o-ring trick doesn't work on yet. I have to figure out what size o-ring would fit this powertube.
