Kingman Eraser to 50 cal?

So... I've been looking at images/videos of the Eraser, and it looks like MAYBE, just MAYBE, there is enough material to bore/hone out the barrel by around 2mm (1 mm per side), to allow for a .50 cal paintball.

Other work would include:
New bolt
Adjustments to the valve setup to allow for more pressure
Magazine mod

Seems like a little crazy, but as I'm partial to these kinds of things, and blowing my cash for silly ideas... does anyone think this might actually be possible?

Yeah, I fiddled with them a few years ago. They are very meaty, I would say it's doable.

I have one, have considered getting an adjustable reamer but its way too far down on my list of projects. For someone with a lathe, bolt should be easy to turn in delrin.

My main concern is the hammer linkage. Similar to the hammer/bolt linkage in an inline Tippmann, but they're known to snap when put under stress, ie: heavier springing. If it breaks, might have to try bending a new one from some piano wire?

Its been a long time since I looked at the valve, don't remember what kind of potential it has for opening up.

The valves are super small also the magazines don't have enough meat to modify

The body/barrel itself does have enough meat to bore

You wouldn't get usable velocity with a 50cal ball

The hammer linkage? Do you mean that long bar going horizontal ? KT Chaser Eraser Pistol STEEL Connecting Linkage Rod - I&I Sports

If so that link above is the uprated version, and from what they say unlikely as hell to break.

However, if you meant that tiny bar going vertical, not sure what to say about that.

socalpumpballer: Not really filling me with confidence here lol. Do you have experience of this?

This has me really curious.

I found a site which mentioned that the connecting rod has too much flex which can be fixed with a stronger backing strap.

My concerns would me the magazine and the valve. Does the magazine have enough room? A visual from video indicates it MIGHT. So that leaves the valve... Can it provide the oomph necessary to propel a .50 fast enough? Anybody going to try this one?

Not sure if it's the same one, but there is a steel replacement for the original connecting/linkage rod that is highly unlikely to break.

Well.. obviously I am thinking about it lol. I would definitely need advice on the valve though.

If I had KNOWN this conversion would work I would have bought that Eraser with the five mags on EBAY.

If somebody makes this happen let me know so I can buy up a pair of these. Unless somebody is sitting on an undisclosed stash, you may only ever have one mag for the gun. Or you can just buy another gun for the magazine.

I&I sports has hundreds of chaser/erasers brand new in box and all the replacement parts and accessories including magazines and a wide selection of 11mm in smaller quantities so you don't have to get the huge bulk boxes. They carry( orange, blue, clear, red )fill, rubber and even powder filled 11mm balls

The magazine is too small for a 50cal conversion. The valve cannot be opened any bigger and only gets about 260 fps Max with 11mm paint

Are you sure? I have seen a reference to someone saying they increasing FPS on standard chasers by putting in a shim or something.
