Funny no one has an answer yet... I don't have a remote line on either or my t8.1s, but I feel like I've heard the adapter does not have check valves, in which case it's not as easy as the tipx.
Now, I know the remote line adapter comes with a solid valve stem, otherwise your HPA would vent out there every time you ejected a magazine (the one upside to the tipx setup, you don't remove the empty 12g every time you change magazines). So in that regard, you wouldn't be able to switch back and forth between 12g and remote line without at least swapping that valve stem.
However, if you had the remote line kit, but reinstalled your original valve stem and oring plug Tiberius Arms 006 O-Ring Plug - 81-9135 (this little guy goes in the forward oring location between the gun body and regulator/trigger assembly) then you could use 12g's again.

It would leak . The adapter is just a simple block with air passages drilled through.

Thanks for the info guys. I figured the adapter was just a way of "rerouting" the air passage and closing off the airway from the mag/grip. Kinda miss my TiPX now in regards of being able to swap between remote and 12g. Oh well...
