DIY fang-ish trigger for egrip 98
Having finished my back bottle 98 (dubbed bb98) I have moved on to my next project, an egrip 98 (which I will probably simply call my e98).
This will be more for larger or longer games where I can't keep up with the limited paint and small hopper on my bb98.
Anyways, I've added an RVA and reg and need a walkable trigger, so I decided to take a whack at making my own from a flat bar of steel. It came out pretty well.
It's definitely walkable but the pull is little heavy - I think the material is just heavy. It's also a little thin, but I shimmed it to help.
I think I can, and should, remove some more material to lighten it, and truth be told I should be using thicker steel. But it's a start.
I could drop $30 on a Techt Fang, and I'm sure it would be nice. But this was fun.
I started with drawing a template on cardboard and cutting it out:
Then I transferred that to the steel
And after some cutting with a rotary cutting wheel I drilled holes for the pin and fit it in:
Finally, I deburred, cleaned it up, and polished:

Sounds like a good enough reason to me. Aluminum would be my choice, but you could even use delrin or something too.
