SL-68 II cup seal removal

So, after picking up a brand new, perfectly functioning SL-68 II today, it reminded me I had a few tucked away in some Tupperware containers.

One of those, once aired up, vented down the barrel. Upon inspection, I realized it’s a bad cup seal.

However, I can’t seem to remove the cup seal from the valve stem? Is it just pressed on? Will I need a vise or something to remove it? I can’t do it by hand and I’m worried about damaging the valve stem with a tool, if I try to remove the cup seal that way.

Any advice appreciated—thanks!

They are pressed on. I just knocked off the bad one with a small wrench or pair of pliers. Some heavy grease like Dow vacuum grease can help a faulty one seal up in a pinch.
