Ok so since this is my first time organizing a private game , bear with me Since JI doesnt require a deposit , just a card on file to reserve a private group and since I have no way of gathering deposits from strangers ( players) the admission fee will be payed when you arrive at the field. I'm trusting that I will get the minimum 15 ppl to play.if there are no shows, then I get stuck with the remaining bill below 15. With my group and the rough estimate of responses from here , the count looks to be +20. Hopefully this all works out, I'm really looking forward to playing . If anybody has any suggestions ,let me know. If you have a question on the type of marker allowed , PM me. This is a group decision on strictly stock class and we just like it that way . So here's the break down. June 1st at Jungle Island $25 admission for all day private group play due upon arrival at field Does not include paint,co2 or rentals. Bring your own food and drink.although I usually bring a case of water Strictly stock class play which has the following variations : 12gr and horizontal feed (preferred ) 12gr and direct feed (stick or small hopper) Tank and horizontal feed Tank and small direct stick feed (10 rds or less) Because we have some younger kids playing and it makes it easy for them, we will allow semis with small hoppers for kids 12 and under ONLY ! No semis of any form if you are a teenager and older . Again we are trying to make it fun for everyone and besides its easy to make the ankle bitters surrender. PM me with your head count and I'll get back with you with my personal info. I thank all of you for your interest and hopefully we all can keep playing these basic stock games on a regular basis. If we can get a good size group to constantly play than we can always play at SC or other fields in the area . Thanks Bryant |

To answer your original question, yes, there are a few groups out there that only play stock-class. I've been running strictly stock-class games 2 to 3 times a year here in Connecticut for over a decade (pump/manually operated, horizontal feed, 12-gram only - no exceptions). Like you, I've been playing for 28 years and feel that stock-class represents the true spirit of the game. Some folks call it old school. I call it how paintball was originally intended to be played - in the woods, and for fun. Fortunately, we have a great group of stock-class players here in New England, and have folks who regularly travel from NY, MA and RI for our games. One player, Splattttttttt, also hosts stock-class games at his renegade field in MA. I used to host renegade games, but due to liability issues, I've been hosting the games at a legit field. Organizing games can be challenging at times, and does take some effort to do it right. But at the end of the day, if no one got hurt, and everyone had fun, it makes it all well worth it. I hope your event is a big success, and inspires you to turn stock-class games into regularly-scheduled events in your area. I think you'll be surprised how far players will travel for a well-run stock-class game. Right now we average around 40 players per game, and aim to increase that number every year. We're always trying to get younger players involved, which is key to keeping stock-class alive. If you have any questions about hosting private stock-class games, feel free to shoot me a PM. Also, check out the link to my team (Tactical Assault Command) in my sig line. Lots of great stock-class info and photos from back in the day. Good luck! Slim
