Flintlock muzzleloading Rifle

This model was made in the 70's by a company in Japan (I think it was called Ultra Hi, or something along those lines). Right now, it is a wall hanger for me. The pan doesn't spark consistently, not sure if it is worn out or needs new flint. $250 shipped (as long as it is legal in your state). I can't remember if it is a .45, .50, or .54. I'll have to check later. $250 shipped.

What is a good way to learn more about this?

You tube is a great resource and by the looks of it that Flint could use a good knapping to get the edge sharp again. For whoever buys this, be prepared to scare the hell out of yourself the first time you pull the trigger :) That hot flash in your face and 1/4 second delay until it goes off is a ton of fun for the uninitiated.

Any interest? They are fun to shoot. I have several black powder guns, mostly revolvers. And the way Oregon law is headed, that's probably the only thing my kids will get to shoot.

I hope you're not offended that I'm having visions of sending that to BretG...

Sorry, not in the cards right now. But one can dream...

Do it. There is no historical value here, so make it special. I've been thinking of converting it to a marker lately anyway. Trying to think of a way that when it is cocked, it "pumps" it, and allows a ball to be loaded manually.

You've seen RoBo's Hawken, right?

I don't think I have, maybe just one image.

Make it a muzzle loader like Flounder's blunderbus.
