Think curated is overpriced? Try this on for size

    https://ebay.us/m/d6A5kh

Go look at his other listings, while this is hilariously overpriced it is essentially the only one for sale out there so he does get to set the price.

But his other listings is what I've been talking about the problem with curated being lately. That guy has such a large volume on eBay others like this guy seem to be using him to set their own prices. These people appear to not even bother looking up new retail prices anymore when listing used gear. It just makes the whole used market grind to a halt if nobody will sell anything unless it's an unrealistic price.

I think he burned a few people here before or that is my understanding of the situation anyways. Im sure others can fill you in with details.

Not necessarily - this is Price we're talking about.

              I wouldn't put it past him to have one of his friends "buy" the item and then pay the fees himself, just so he can mark the Nummech frame as sold. Why do something so ridiculous you might ask, and rightly so. For two reasons according to Price-logic;

1: As mentioned, this will create the illusion that his prices are perfectly reasonable, and therefore all his other prices are perfectly vaild.

2: More importantly - it will show all the other pesky paintball know-it-alls that Price actually was spot on with his pricing. Take that you clueless haters! MCB = Mean Clueless Bigots.

Lol. As soon as you guys mentioned someone that was blacklisted I was wondering if it was him

I didn't hear about his getting the ban hammer though. What happened there?

Price is not banned. He skedaddled of his own accord and can return if he chooses. Let's steer the conversation to a topic more becoming of our site's character rather than membership gossip.

I’ve been thinking about this pricing on eBay more and it makes sense to be that he may just be using the sorting tools to his advantage.

if you’re just surfing through eBay and you sort by highest price first so you don’t get flooded with stickers and trinkets, you see a mag frame for $5000

you think, that’s insane, I wonder what is going on with that listing? So you click it and see that it really is insane.

you click on the sellers other items to see if there is any good stuff to post on MCB to get the community worked into a frenzy.

You then find that he’s selling a parted out 06 ego ram sleeve for $35, which is actually pretty reasonable because where the hell else are you going to get one of those?

all of a sudden you have made a purchase at a fair enough price on a weird part.

so that’s my thoughts on why it might be to his benefit to post things at insane prices.

However he did sell my buddy a bad ego noid and wouldn’t take it back because we didn’t try to install it until outside of his return window. Bad on me for assuming the part would be sold in working condition I guess.

Maybe. I see the logic here but also, and I'm not saying this as someone who sells on eBay regularly, but doesn't he have to pay for all those listings? Just seems to me that if that's true he would pay more for the listing fees for the multiple items to get people's attention than he would gain from the one $35 sale that benefited from them. But the few times I've sold on eBay in the last decade I always run my stuff as an auction so idk what happens if an item doesn't sell.

And also if that scenario happened to me the first thing I would be doing is typing in ego6 ram sleeve to see if anyone else has one to compare. In that case he may have given me the idea but if anyone else has one for a reasonable price he loses out on the actual sale.

I usually have 10-15 things listed as buy-it-now and it’s free until someone actually buys. I’ve had things sitting on there for months, but it may be different if you’re listing 100’s of items

I've seen some extremely over priced stuff, add it to the watch list, then get offers from the sellers that are somewhat reasonsble.
