    PPS Paladin vs PPS Pug

Another noobie question from yours truly. I need a history lesson on the Palmer Paladin in comparison to a pug...
    Many thanks!

Thank you so much. I've been out of the sport since 04.. So there is a lot of catching up to do on my end.
I really appreciate you taking the time to reply my friend!

No problem ... Glad I could help πŸ‘

Might be worth mentioning they are both scratch built by Palmer (not PMI conversion)

I have wanted a Paladin since I learned of their existence... perhaps one day.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: β€œI shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

β€œBut Lord,” asked Gabriel, β€œIs this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, β€œJust wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Something about that side dropout is just stunning. It just screams fun to shoot!

My thought exactly! I don't know why, I just really dig the dropout.

Not to be pedantic, but to be pedantic, a Pug is stock class - 12 gram/horizontal stick feed, a Paladin is modified stock class - 12 gram/direct feed.

Thats really the only good way to describe the paladin. To me the coolest way to use one would be with a hopper just big enough to shoot through the 12 gram, so you've got 30 or so shots with you ready to go but basically a pistol.

Even when everyone loved palmer guns on mcarterbrown and other obscure at the time messageboards, pump guns like the houndstooth and the paladin were hard to come by. There were always quite a bit of superstockers which I never liked because of the feed arrangement, and a decent amount of pugs which were selling for around $340 new back then, but the paladin was never very common and you can imagine it never was. The comp gun class was a very short lived part of paintball from what I've read (I'm too young to have been around when these transitions were taking place)

I have a soft spot for comp class.... Either tiny hopper and 12 gram or stick feed and 7 oz tank..... You can't have a hopper and constant air.

              As for paladins.....

Yes great guns. This is one of the first with a hand moulded battle pump
