How do you carry your mags?

OK Magfed guys, I am looking for a good way to carry DAM 20 round mags. What do you use and why?

    #2
I use a horizontal 100rd pod pack with fully enclosed pouches. 20rd DAm mags fit pretty perfectly inside. I use it mostly because it's just something I already had. I can also carry a couple in my cargo pants pocket.

I had PBTailor make me a belt panel the puts the mags lower and on a 45* angle.

The pouches are double stacked and use kydex inserts to retain the mags. These work really really well when kept upright, but the weight of the mags on the angle makes them bounce too much. Especially at the back ... So I am moving to single stack. (Can sell those pouches with inserts if anyone is interested)

The benefit I found to my set up is keeping the mags low, and on my hip/back which reduces my target hard points and stops mags from jamming into my ribs, chin... Balls.

If you just want something quick and easy you can fit 2 DAM mags into a double stack AK pouch. Cheap and effective. Not the most ergonomic in many situations, however.

I was thinking about getting these. Are the gcode scorpions or a clone?

I got this off of eBay or something and it was almost perfect because it fits the big mags nicely. What I did was to clip all the straps and run quick clips on it to attach to whatever water bladder/backpack I’m running. I left the bottom strap that wraps around me for stability and this way is much better as I don’t have all the straps when I don’t need them.

Who made that jersey? Empire? I did a search and couldn't find anything like that.

It’s a bit older, been in the closet for a couple years. It’s a bit thick for summertime play. Empire made it I’m not sure what model.

                  ...cuz they're cheap.

I use this belt, because you can finagle your trouser belt through it for added security. I have suspenders that I hide under my shirt.

Then I use these (I think) mag holders. It's more ergonomic for me to pull upwards, and I absolutely hate chest rigs. I like to crawl sometimes.

Working on getting leg holsters for my pistol, but that's basically it for me. I like to keep it minimalistic.

I should note, I have a TMC. I have no idea how different DAM dimensions are.

superman, had a homemade rig similar to this at Fulda Gap last November. It was pretty cool made me kind of interested in Mag Fed but sadly I get too little play time as it is between Mech and Pump to add Magfed to the mix I decided was thinning my game down too much.

                      Actually that is pretty cool.
