    Stargate (tippmann) tranquilizer gun

Ive recently become obsessed with stargate and it would be cool if i could recreate this "tranquilizer gun". Does anyone have any high quality pictures? Or know exactly what parts were used?

Edit. starting to look more like a stbb. But i know it has a tippmann front grip for sure

My best guess is it’s an original Spyder, feed cut off, hacked up prolite foregrip also with feed cut off, then the stock Spyder tear drop muzzle brake has been epoxied or something inside the pro lite grip and isn’t actually threaded in, which explains why it’s longer. Then the whole thing was rattle canned black.

The super low profile sight rail, tear drop muzzle cut, trigger frame grip, and hose placement looks original classic Spyder to me. Looks like maybe there’s some aluminum flat stock or something added on to the sides to change the look more

I suspect Dr. Morganstein is pretty close, given the low quality of the pics. (And it's worth noting that, in the old-MCB "markers in the movies" thread, the gun was identified as a Spyder, which I posted in the Paintball Movie Marker Database. )

The timeline of SG-1 (it premiered in 1997) makes it more likely it'd be a proper Kingman Spyder (and the bottomline sure looks it) than one of the later floods of stacked-tubes.

For better imagery, somebody needs to dig up a DVD, or better yet a Blu-Ray transfer, if such a thing exists, and get some proper screenshots, rather than taking a pic of the TV screen with a cell phone.

My first thought on seeing this thread was "I bet Doc already has this one in the data base"

Sounds like a perfect excuse to dig out the old DVD box set and watch the entirety of SG-1 again

-Get me some good screenshots, and I'll add them to the page.

That goes for all of you: If you can get me a good screenshot from pretty much any movie or TV show I don't already have (and it's pretty sparse in there) I'll add it to the page.

In fact, I should make a post about that....

These more closely show it's a spyder with the feed welded over, painted black, 68 carbine foregrip slipped over the barrel, weird loading tube thingy on the back so they can load a big syringe on screen but not accidentally shoot it.

I love how it's cobbled together using almost exclusively paintball-centric parts.

I feel like I seen that on a BB gun. Is it Crossman maybe?
