What's the deal with the feedneck?

It came with a feedneck stub like the old LEDs. Bought it from Canada so maybe they were a couple years behind. I just ran an adaptor like this…

I just today purchased an LCD that has the same feedneck stub. Never would have imagined that WDP would want people to use plastic feednecks.

Yeah it does seem less than ideal. If it were a regular shooter I was taking to the field it would be swapped out for a clamper.

That stub is actually awesome. As unlike other feednecks that were available at the time you can easily adapt the stub to a clamping collar. Many available collars can be attached to that stub instead of using that plastic adapter, and just like that you have added a clamping feedneck. Saves you a few $ over having to buy the collar and feedneck. You can even go a step farther with a pipe cutter, and trim down the length of the aluminum stub so that your clamping collar can be placed lower. I did one to just the right length as to allow the breach to still open.
