Surely you must mean a MAC 43. What barbs did you use?

The Carnage theme has me drooling. Is this up and running or does it still need work?

It was up and running, it still needs the little button strip to turn it on and off, eyes, etc. I can put some air to it test it.

Ok I was gonna say haha. The 24 is huge and MAC only offers them as low as 12v. IIRC, you can put the coil from a regular 43 onto the spool assembly from an 07/08 so you can re-use the manifold instead of going with barbs on each side of the solenoid. I've done a few complete regular 43s on 05s and they are a super tight fit.

its been a while, I was forgetting my Mac numbers. I got both of my egos as projects, and happen to have loose 43s NIB, don't have the original solenoid.

Why is it only for parts? It seems to be functional with everything working except the eyes, and just a swapped Mac 43 solenoid, correct? That solenoid came stock on one of the Alien guns back in the day I believe, and are a cheap option that is still on eBay right now even. Does it function with the Mac 43, or will it need a custom board to get it to work? I know someone on these forums actually sells custom boards that are made to work with basically any gun, any voltage, etc. just curious if it works as is honestly, and how hard it would be to get shooting on that noid

The Mac solenoid that came on ego7:8’s was never on any other markers. The Mac43 was a generic remote (hose/barb) solenoid offered by Mac. The Mac solenoid that alien used while being a 43 base is a manifold mount system and not transferable here.. now I could be wrong but the reason this is listed as “for parts/as is” is because they don’t want to take the time to guarantee its functionality much less be liable for it… since it is/was a “project”. As for making the mac43 work, as long as it all fits and hoses aren’t pinched the board will adequately drive the solenoid (assuming it has the right pilot which you can’t confirm in the photos provided)

Yes it was working, but it’s been a while since I tinkered with it and don’t want to spend any time on it. Someone else who is curious can tinker with it.
            Working...
