    BE Silver Raptor - Brand New Body

    Letting go of my silver raptor, it never gets used and it's a shame to have it sitting in my gearbag. Always have a soft spot for these as it was my first semi. Got this one in a used lot of gear, the body had a defect on it and it wouldn't cycle properly. I found a brand new, factory fresh body and I also sourced a parts kit with a new valve, hammer, o-rings, and detent. The trigger frame, body plugs, asa, and barrel are original. Trigger frame is in nice shape, barrel has some scuffs and dings on the outside but bore is perfect. Added a chrome gas-thru grip and cp on/off. Gun cycles like new, velocity was a bit low (240ish) on the chrono using an hpa tank so it may need a higher output tank or some washers behind the mainspring. It has never been in a game so the body is minty fresh. Will come with some spare parts as well as a barrel adapter that lets you run spyder-threaded barrels.

      Um....well I'll be damn. maybe there was something to the rumor about hex shaped vasa & round vasa, hex older & round newer... idk. But thx RichM always good to learn stuff. GLWS

      The early Raptors (I had one of the green ones) used F1 illustrator threads for the barrel. This body and the barrel uses F1 threads... I just went out and checked. I ordered the lapco adapter for this body specifically because I couldn't run my AC barrels with it, but I do have some nice spyder threaded barrels so the spyder to F1 adapter lets me run them on this gun. BE may have switched to AC threading for the Raptors at some point.

      I actually had a sidebar with wthomas333 and we came to the conclusion that some brass eagle barrels that were made for the rainmaker were autococker threaded. I did not post that because i did not want to distract from the sale thread. Still RichM good luck with sale. I am surprised it is not gone yet.
