    Lapco Tippmann 98 direct feed

These were easy to find not long ago but I think they dried up. Lapco upgrades look nice, even if they don't make sense. Can soemone tell me why you would want this vs the stock tippmann 98 feed neck which is not prone to breakage, and sits nice and low?

I think they look nice. And I guess you could use an RTR or Sconi counterfeit "lean" elbow to make the hopper more centered, though taller.

It's useful for those who want to mount a sight and not have a hopper blocking it. It might also be appealing to those who have a personal vendetta against plastic on their guns.

Also these are good for fields, as they can't be removed from the gun without tools.

lol I had one of these back in the day for that exact reason. My first real marker and I put an e-trigger in it with a double trigger. Ran it with a Halo B, but the Halo blocked me from sighting down the barrel, so I ran this. If I remember right, the Halo was too heavy and kept cracking the elbows or it wouldn't stay latched to the gun? Something like that.

I came really close to buying this because I love my Sconi and am super meh on the 98 feednecks.....I just don't use my 98s enough to justify it though.

If you want something like this I would recommend the rap4 style. It's probably of a poorer build quality than the lapco, but it is probably more stable, and has a lever locking neck.
